Introduction

 I have to admit it--I love gadgets. I try many apps and devices that claim to track and improve emotional and cognitive well being.    There are numerous apps and devices  that not only tract physical activity and fitness but also mood, sleep, breathing rate, focus, calm, tension and more.  There are biofeedback devices that encourage increased heart rate variability, a measure of vagal tone, and devices to alter EEGs, and improve the ability to be in a meditative state .  In this blog I will review my own experiences with these items and look forward to hearing from others who have used various apps and specific devices to track improve emotional and cognitive health
